Do I need to book a class or can I just turn up?

We ask everyone to please book before attending. If you have any trouble with the TeamUp booking system please write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk for help.

If you cannot manage to book and you have not had a response from info@yogapoint.co.uk please bring a payment card to class and ask the teacher to pay at the desk.

I am having trouble signing up to TeamUp can you help?

If you have difficulty with signing up, please write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk. we can create an account for you and you will then receive a link to finish setting it up.

Please note: We can’t create an account for you if you have an existing one with TeamUp. Sometimes people have an old account with TeamUp which they don’t know they have. If the system asks you for a password please try the “Reset password” option.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable. Yoga is practised in bare feet and most people wear leggings/shorts and a t-shirt/top. We have womxn, mxn and all gender changing rooms but no showers.

Can I bring my teenage son/ daughter to a class?

13-15 year olds can attend classes if accompanied by a parent or carer. Teenagers can pay half-price for classes, including class packs. Click here for more information.

Are there any pregnancy yoga classes?

Yes, on Sunday evenings at 18:30. You need to be past 12 weeks pregnant to attend and then you can drop in. If you have any complications with your pregnancy please write in to theresaaldridge@yahoo.co.uk before you attend. If your pregnancy is straightforward there are a potentially a few other classes you may be able to go to, do write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk to find out.

Can I attend a yoga class if I am pregnant?

 

In general no, our classes are not suitable if you are pregnant. There is a pregnancy yoga class on Sundays at 6:30pm, (please see above). Sometimes when people have already been practising with a teacher, they continue to do so throughout their pregnancy. There are also a few other regular classes you may be able to attend, please write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk to find out.

I am a complete beginner can I just come along and try a class?

Yes! Complete beginners and beginners are very welcome. There are complete beginners’ classes on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings but you can also attend any of the yoga classes that say ‘Level 1’ or ‘All welcome’. Please let the teacher know if you are a complete beginner so that they can look after you. If you have any questions or would like some advice regarding which class to try please do write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk

I can't attend a class I booked. Can I cancel/ change my booking?

You can unregister from a class up to two hours before the class is due to start. To do this, go to your booking in the timetable, click on it and choose “unregister”.

If you wish to move a booking to a different class. You can unbook (up to two hours before the class is due to start) and then book the class you wish to attend.

Do I need to bring anything eg a mat?

Yoga Point is fully equipped so there is no need to bring a mat, belt or blocks etc. There are womxn, mxn and all gender changing rooms but no showers.

Can I try a free class? Do you have an introductory offer?

YogaPoint is a small local independent business run on a profit-share basis in collaboration with our yoga teachers. We therefore do not usually offer free classes or cheap introductory offers/ memberships.

Is there somewhere to leave my bike?

There are several bike racks opposite the studio. There is no room inside the studio to bring bikes in.

Is there any parking near Yoga Point?

Yoga Point is in a Brixton parking zone which operates Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (please always check before parking). There are parking metres.

Are there showers at Yoga Point?

There are no showers.

How can I tell which style of yoga the class will be?

The timetable shows the style of the class, each style is described on the Yoga information page. You can also look up the teacher for each class under teacher profiles to learn more about the style they teach. If you have any questions or would like some advice do write in to info@yogapoint.co.uk

Where in Brixton is Yoga Point?

Yoga Point is on Dalberg Road, near the Brixton Water Lane entrance to Brockwell Park, a 14 min walk from Brixton tube. It is on the bus routes 3, 37 & 196. Round the corner from the Hootananny pub. It is a 12 minute walk from Herne Hill train station.
